Time to pull back the curtains on my life and stop being that weird, elusive horror author you stumbled across on accident. Don’t worry, I’m not about to randomly unload my childhood trauma on you. I reserve that privilege for strangers at bars. But here’s a little bit about me.
Who the Hell is Travis Liebert?
Good question! Not really, but it’s the one I usually get when I wander down the street like an old-timey preacher waving my books like the bible.
I’m a 21-year-old student at the University of Louisville. I study psychology, philosophy, and the art of getting good grades without attending class. My advisor claims that last one isn’t a major, but I’m pretty sure he’s lying. I’m also an author. As for my interests: I enjoy writing (duh), reading, listening to songs on repeat until I hate them, and graphic design. I also love cats and self-deprecation.
While I’d like to primarily be an author, I enjoy creating things in general. Whether that be books, clothing, art, videos, or music. I love creating art and sharing them with people. I feel as if creating media is the best way to get in touch with your emotions and to touch the emotions of others.
What do I do?
Aside from school, I do quite a lot. As I said, I’d like to be an author so I write every day if possible. I’ve published three poetry collections, a poetry omnibus, two collections of horror stories, and I’m currently working on my third collection, Things Unknown. If you’re interested in any of my writing, you can check out My Books.
Aside from that, I run a small publishing press called Pure Print Publishing along with my good friend and business partner Jacob Romines. We have open submissions, so if you’re reading this and would like to have some of your work published, check out our submission guidelines Here.
Additionally, I love trivia and am president of the University of Louisville’s Quiz Bowl Team. I regularly travel around the country to participate in tournaments. If you don’t know what Quiz Bowl is, think Jeopardy but with teams. Consequently, I have a plethora of random (and surprisingly useful) facts in my head.
